On the Significance of Negative Evidence in Second-Language Learning under the super-
vision of Dr. A. Miremadi.
1989-1991 Received my M.A. in English Language
Teaching (ELT) from Tehran Branch of
Islamic Azad University. I completed my
master's thesis entitled The Approximative
Method of Language Teaching under the super-
vision of Dr. P. Birjandi.
1986-1991 Received my B.A. in The English Language
(Translation) from South Tehran Branch of
Islamic Azad University.

list (Eastern Michigan University. Wayne State

1997 to date Member of the Academic Staff with the rank
of Assistant Professor at Islamic Azad Univer-
sity at Khorasgan (Esfahan). Here I have been
teaching Syntactic Argumentation, and Discourse
Analysis, to Ph. D candidates of ELT, and
Issues in Linguistics and Pedagogical Phonetics
to M.A students of ELT. In addition, I offer
a number of courses such as Introduction
to Linguistics and Contrastive Linguistics to MA
students of Translation Studies.
1991 to 1997 English Lecturer at Arak , North Tehran, and
Isfahan (Khorasgan) Branches of Islamic Azad
University respectively. Also serving as English
Translator and Interpreter to an Iranian
governmental department in the fulfillment
of Iranian Compulsory Military Service.
My research interests include generativist accounts of syntax,
English and Persian linguistics, and Second Language Acquisition
Research in Generative Grammar.
